“The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried.”

There’s a particular way you want to be, a set of qualities that you yearn to embody, so bad it makes you double over.

Every time you try to do it or be it, you feel like you fail utterly.

It’s a very particular vein in you – it’s not about what you “do” in the outer world, really, as much as it is about your inner experience of yourself.

You may not even know what it is anymore, because when we want something this bad and feel like we fail at it every time, we start compensating like mad.

We convince ourselves that we DON’T want it, or that somehow we already have it (some fake version) so we’re fine. FINE.

Both of those are lies.

None of it works. We still want it, and it’s still SO HARD.

We try...and fail.

...and fail.

...and fail.

Mastery Requires Failure

Normally we think that if we’re failing that much, we should just stop, right?

It’s “a sign” that we shouldn’t be doing this. It’s supposed to feel easy, or at least easier, if it’s the right thing. We should be seeing evidence of “success” to keep going.

The part of us that is the Path of Mastery is different – it’s the place in ourselves, in our lives, that we actually NEED TO FAIL. A lot. Repeatedly.

I realize that sounds both ludicrous and awful – so why would I say it?

Because MASTERY. REQUIRES. FAILURE.

It requires humility, and struggle (the right kind) – it requires devotion to the path itself.

It’s just that most of us don’t know that’s what’s happening. We fall into the shadow expression of this part of us, and we’re not failing for any good reason – not to learn or move forward or develop or climb that path.

We’re just suffering.

The Path of Mastery is the ONE part of us, of our lives, where if we are NOT FAILING, we’re actually not on the path.

No path – no struggle – no failure – NO MASTERY.

“The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you won’t. It’s whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere.”

Earning Mastery

Each of us has this Path of Mastery in us somewhere, with its own unique challenges.

Inevitably it’s one of the hardest areas of our lives.

But trying to run away, hide from it, “opt out”, blame it on someone or something else, fake a version of it, etc. simply doesn’t work.

We still know something is calling us there and it will not accept anything less than the truth.

I want to help people know that they can suffer less – and fail for the RIGHT REASONS.

So that their failure becomes the price of the mastery they are earning.

When you accept the path – when you accept failure as the price of being on the path – mastery begins to develop.

We learn, through our own steady effort and devotion, to become the very thing we thought we would only ever fail at.

That’s mastery.

Eve Group - Jun 3-24, 5pm Pacific
Day Group - Jul 1-22, 11am Pacific
All Calls Recorded
Circle Community For ALL Participants

Auditorium - $70

The Auditorium seats get you both teaching calls, participation in the Circle community, and you get to be live on all the calls to listen.

It does not include the “focus session” that is part of the Practicum seat.

These seats are $70, and there is plenty of room for as many Auditorium people as want to join!

Practicum - $140

The Practicum seats come with both teaching calls, participation in the Circle community, being live on all calls, AND a “focus session” discussion with me on one of the 4 calls.

For 45-60 minutes we’ll talk about YOUR Path of Mastery, how it sits in your particular archetypal nature, how it’s showing up in your life right now, and how you can find the devotion to be “on the path” in a clear, effective way for you.

I will be able to do 2 of these sessions per call, leaving the last half of the final call for Q&A and discussion.

There are 7 Practicum seats in the Evening group and 7 in the Day group, and they are $140.
